- Profile details such as date of birth, village, occupation, and marital status
- Profile photo and other media uploaded by you
- Family member information entered by you
- Job listings, business listings, or matrimonial details you submit
- Community event and participation details
Technical data collected automatically:
- Device model and operating system version
- App version and usage logs
- Location data only when you actively use location-related features
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect solely to operate and improve the App:
- To authenticate users via OTP-based mobile login
- To display and manage the community member and family directory
- To show community news, events, birthdays, anniversaries, and updates
- To support jobs, business, matrimonial, and professional service listings
- To personalise your profile and community experience
- To improve app performance, stability, and user experience
- To communicate important community announcements
We do not use your data for targeted advertising or sell it to any third party.
3. Device Permissions
The App requests only the permissions needed to deliver its features:

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

- To protect the rights, property, or safety of Vav Pathak Samaj or its members
Third-party service provider: We use Firebase (Google LLC) for authentication, cloud data storage, and media storage. Firebase processes data in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as reasonably necessary to provide our services. When you request account deletion, we will remove your data within 30 days unless retention is required by law.
6. Account and Data Deletion
You have the right to request the deletion of your account and all associated personal data at any time.

7. Profile Sharing and QR Code Features
The App allows you to share your own profile details such as name and contact information with others via QR code or through third-party messaging apps such as WhatsApp or SMS. Sharing is always initiated voluntarily by you. We do not automatically share your profile with any external party.
When you share your profile, the recipient receives only the information you choose to share. We are not responsible for how recipients handle that information after it leaves the App.
8. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: You may update or correct your profile information directly within the App at any time.
- Deletion: You may request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Withdrawal of consent: You may withdraw consent by discontinuing use of the App and submitting a deletion request.

9. Children's Privacy

11. Cross-Border Data Transfer
Your data is stored and processed using Firebase (Google LLC), whose servers may be located outside India. By using the App, you consent to your information being transferred to and processed in countries where Google operates its infrastructure, subject to Google's data protection standards and agreements.

We implement industry-standard security measures, including encrypted data transmission HTTPS/TLS and secure cloud storage via Firebase. While we take reasonable precautions, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
14. Governing Law
This Privacy Policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011. Any disputes arising out of this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Surat, Gujarat, India.
